Continuing Education

CIRC arranges for real estate continuing education classes through approved state real estate schools and course providers such as the Frederick Academy of Real Estate (scroll down for more info). Class rates are discounted for CIRC members, but others are welcome to attend at the non-member rates.

EARLY-BIRD RESGISTRATION: in effect until one full week (7 days) before the class date. (Your early registration helps us to prepare your Certificates in advance for distribution on class day!)

State Licensing Requirements: Scroll down for more information and keep in mind that NJ credits are due by April 30, 2023, and DE and PA renewals are due in 2024. Check your MD expiration date. NOTE: PA has a new Mandatory course which we gave on April 12, 2023 and plan to repeat in 2024.

License Renewal: June 30 of odd years (2025, 2027, etc.)


The New Jersey Real Estate Commission mandates that all real estate licensees complete 12 continuing education credit hours every two years to maintain their licenses. The 2025 Term is July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2025. CE completed after April 30 will be subject to a $200 late fee in addition to the license renewal fee. Any licensee who does not complete their credits by June 30, 2025, will not be able to renew their license and it will expire.


  • You must complete 12 continuing education credit hours
  • Two hours must be completed in Ethics Topic Area
  • One hour must be completed in the Fair Housing Topic Area
  • Six hours must be completed in Core Topic Area
  • The six remaining hours may be completed in core or elective topics
